Tim was told by many, coworkers and friends alike, that the mortgage industry wasn't going to fulfill his needs to have things 1.) be logical, 2.) be fun, and 3.) keep a healthy work/life balance. Luckily he took that to heart. Born and raised in Southern California, he spent his time in an uneven split between his fluorescent-lit office, a grueling commute through LA, and any spare time with his fiancé, family, and friends.

On a trip to Oregon in 2007, Tim had the opportunity to see how his northern neighbors lived. One day in Portland was enough to convince him that he needed to give up the high-powered lifestyle and find a rhythm that left free time to enjoy life. He and his fiancé, Kristin, packed their things, moved to Portland and got married! (Many have followed them up here, too!)

Tim joined the NW Core office support staff in June 2008. He will be everyone’s right-hand man, learning the ropes so he can fill any desk when needed. He brings years of tech support experience, a new enthusiasm for the Pacific Northwest wine industry and a killer collection of movies to share with the rest of the office.

The key difference between his LA life and his new one in PDX is balance. We’re all taking turns showing him & his wife everything else that Portland has to offer, including rafting, dog parks for their puppy, and miles of roads without traffic.
