Our Team

Josefa was born into the world of wine and hospitality, cutting her industry teeth as a general manager for a family owned pair of Chicago restaurants. After the juggling act of managing the front of the house, catering, business plans and an extensive wine and tequila list, moving over to selling fine wines was almost a relief.

From 2003 to 2008 Josefa worked for Maverick Wine Company in Chicago, moving from a role as an outstanding field rep to the role of American Brand Manager in just a few fast years. Maverick gave her experience on all sides of distribution; street work, trade shows, sales meetings and working with suppliers were all skills that came with the territory.

Her role now is the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Northwest Core Collection, where she'll be focusing her years of varied wine skills to sell our Pacific Northwest wines in the center of the country. When you don’t see her pounding the pavement with a wine bag she has probably just traded it out for her running shoes, since, despite the 8ft drifts in the winter, her number of completed marathons grows each year. (But if you can get her to slow down, ask for some of her killer family recipes!)
