Establish national distribution for a new Oregon brand, The
Four Graces. |
The Four Graces was established in 2003 when Steve and Paula Black purchased their 110 acre
vineyard in the Red Hills of Dundee. Under the winemaking expertise of Laurent Montalieu the Black
Family began producing Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc from their estate vineyard.
Dedicated to the production of outstanding wines, Steve and Paula enlisted Northwest Core
Collection to launch their brand nationally. With no prior sales history from the winery, Northwest
Core Collection was given the task of establishing a distribution program that would also support a
future direct sales program for this up and coming brand. Northwest Core Collection was able to take
an unknown entity and establish an effective distribution network as well as identify the brand's
target market within a year.
Northwest Core
worked with The Four Graces in 2005 and early 2006 and successfully matched them with distributors
in 23 states. Ready now for their next phase of growth, The Four Graces has stabled their own
internal team including Anthony Van Nice and one of the "Graces", Alexis Garrett.
The Black Family mission is to make consistently outstanding Pinot Noir representative of the
unique terroir of the Willamette Valley. They are committed to making rich, complex wines in which
the fruit is elegantly expressed. The wines are luxuriously produced in small lots using traditional
techniques coupled with the most modern technology available.
Steve Black's background started in the fertile San Joaquin Valley of California where he was
raised. The experience of growing up in one of the leading farming areas in the world caused Steve
to have a deep connection and respect for the land. Creating The Four Graces has allowed Steve to
express this love of the land while also building a family business. His vision for the future of
The Four Graces is to establish a family legacy of producing handmade wines of extraordinary quality
where his children can become involved in the stewardship of the vineyards and winemaking.
